“The history of Guben Wools”

History brought to life – touch, remember and enjoy. Learn about the history of the well known cloth making trade in the beautiful town of Guben. The visitor may follow the history of cloth making from the industrial revolution of the first half of the 19th century, through the transformation into the nationalised companies of the German Democratic Republic, up until the taking over of the abandoned factory buildings in the 1990s.

Gubin Art and Leisure Centre

The Gubin Gallery is located on the ground floor (rear entrance) of the Gubin Art and Leisure Centre and is home to many various temporary exhibitions.
The Art and Leisure Centre co-organizes the independent “Filmowa Góra” film festival. It has a well equipped recording studio and houses the editorial office of the "Wiadomości Gubińskie" newspaper

Plastinarium

Gunther von Hagens’ Plastinarium combines the worldwide successful anatomical “body worlds” exhibition with an “open laboratory“ where visitors are given an insight into the process of preservation.
