On the bank of the Neisse there was once a huge factory building belonging to the Guben textile factory. However, this factory area has been turned into a green oasis. Thanks to the terraces, the Neisse for the first time has become accessible for visitors and residents, while the open view of the neighbouring city invites us to stay and enjoy. Some parts of the old factory walls have been preserved as relics, and cleverly fit into the park. A footbridge directly connecting Guben’s Neisse terraces with the Gubin theatre island makes it possible to walk over the island to the historical old town of Gubin. The Neisse as division belongs to the past, and the river has become a connecting and lively element in the German-Polish appearance of the town.
