Brühl-Tour
This route goes through small villages to the traditional village of Brody. The castle in its present form was commissioned by Count Heinrich von Brühl, prime minister to Augustus the Strong, King of Saxony. The castle and park was owned by the Brühl family until 1945. The route runs via the villages of Sekowice, Polanowice and Grabice to Luboszyce, home to a neo-Gothic palace complex from the nineteenth century. Today the castle is owned privately. A landscape park was created nearby in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, featuring common oaks with a circumference of between three and five metres. Further on, via Wegliny you can reach Suchodol with the lake of the same name. Just before Brody, visitors to Jeziory Dolne can climb an observation tower or take a look at the Forest and Nature Museum. Having reached Brody you are sure to be impressed by the huge castle and park as well as the building ensemble in the town centre, its original appearance faithfully maintained. The castle building today is a ruin, but the cavalier houses have been reconstructed.
