Kirche Grießen
Grießen fortified church was first mentioned in the 12th century and is thus one of the oldest in the region. The fieldstone and natural stone church was comprehensively renovated in 1979. The striking boarded church tower has been given a new zinc sheet metal roof, and a wooden ceiling was fitted in the nave of the church itself. A room under the gallery was separated and has since been used as a winter church. The entire church was re-clad in 1992. Some years later, plastering and drainage work was carried out. In 1997, new wrought iron candlesticks were fitted, and one year later the pulpit was restored and refitted. The church was given a second bell in October. Both bells are electrically rung. The church also houses a modern electronic organ.
